Our “Human and Entrepreneurship” dirlik, which has completed its first month, has been filled with invaluable contributions from our participants. Each participant’s input has enriched our collective learning and interaction environment, helping us to open new horizons in the fields of entrepreneurship and human-centered thinking.
Our first seminar on October 19th featured Mr. Ufuk Batum, who introduced us to the core principles of entrepreneurship. With an in-depth look at the entrepreneurship cycle, Mr. Batum broke down each stage, helping us understand the journey from concept to execution. This session laid the groundwork for future discussions, offering us a roadmap to follow as we explore entrepreneurship in the upcoming weeks.
In our second week, we welcomed Mr. Lokman Ökten, who guided us through the dynamic world of startups. With a focus on the Turkish and Bosnian startup landscapes, Mr. Ökten explained the key components of a thriving startup ecosystem and introduced us to tools like the Business Model Canvas. By examining how startups evolve and adapt in a fast-changing economy, we gained insights into the challenges and rewards of this space. The class closed with a reflection on the words of Prophet Muhammad: “One whose two days are equal is in loss,” reminding us of the importance of growth and progress.
Our fourth session took place online, featuring Akan Abdula on the topic of consumer behavior and insights. Mr. Abdula led us through the complexities of understanding consumer motivations, urging us to look beyond surface-level data to truly connect with people. We discussed the science of the brain, learning how observing reactions can unlock deeper responses. With a focus on empathy and understanding, this lecture underscored the idea that each consumer’s story is unique—there is no “average” person. Mr. Abdula’s insights encouraged us to approach entrepreneurship with a human-centered perspective, reinforcing our need to truly see and understand our audience.
We look forward to continuing this journey, enriching it with new perspectives and insights in our upcoming seminars.
