Following the Ramadan break, we continued our seminars from where we left off and experienced an enriching learning journey with students as part of the Human and Entrepreneurship Dirlik.
On April 12, in the “Finance 101 and Careers in Finance” seminar, finance expert Dr. Tayfun Özkan shared his extensive experience and provided students with a deep understanding of key financial concepts such as investment decisions, risk and return analysis, financial statement interpretation, and corporate finance strategies, while also introducing international certifications like CFA and FRM for those aiming to pursue a finance career in Europe.

On April 19th, Halil Furkan Kesler joined online to deliver a seminar focusing on the differences between UX (User Experience) and UI (User Interface). He explained that UX is centered around user needs, digital flow, and overall experience, while UI deals with visual design and interface aesthetics. The seminar also covered the subfields related to UX and UI—such as anthropology, ergonomics, and customer experience (CX)—illustrated through a diagram, and emphasized their roles in digital product development.
In the second part of the day, Zeynep Güran led a seminar on CRM and Customer Analytics, held on April 19. The session highlighted the strategic role of data-driven decision making in marketing, including customer segmentation, digital product recommendation systems, and campaign optimization. Key stages of the customer journey—such as acquisition, retention, cross-selling, and churn prevention—were discussed in detail. Real-life examples, including digital tracking and loyalty programs at Kuveyt Türk, were shared to illustrate effective CRM practices. The seminar concluded with a case study encouraging participants to generate business ideas based on customer data.

The first session of the seminars on April 26 featured industry expert Ali Tuğlu, who spoke about the transformation in information technologies. The seminar addressed the impact of digitalization—from banking to business models—and emphasized the growing importance of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Participants were reminded that merely keeping up with technological developments is not enough; cultural adaptation and the continuous development of domain knowledge are essential.
In the second session of the day, Ömer Emeç delivered a presentation on entrepreneurship and emerging economic paradigms. Covering topics such as the start-up ecosystem, fintech developments, investor relations, and global economic trends, the seminar aimed to equip participants with strategic thinking skills. Analytical tools like PESTEL and SWOT were also discussed, alongside strategies for establishing international collaborations.

On May 3, Halil Furkan Kesler delivered an online seminar on effective presentation techniques, sharing practical tips for engaging and impactful communication.
On May 10, Nedzad Gusic presented “Leadership in Business,” where he emphasized that leadership is not about control, but about inspiring, empowering, and growing others. He highlighted that influence, not title, defines a true leader.
Following the month of Ramadan, we resumed our seminars and embarked on a rich, multidimensional educational journey with students as part of the Human and Entrepreneurship Dirlik. Throughout this period, students not only attended seminars but also actively worked on their own entrepreneurial projects, turning theoretical knowledge into practical experience. Each group was paired with an experienced mentor, who provided regular feedback and guidance to support their development throughout the term.
This structure also served as a model that aimed to transform the lessons learned during the Hamilik Okulu Bosna program into tangible outcomes. Students applied their knowledge in entrepreneurship, leadership, and finance within the framework of real-world project work, gaining hands-on experience.
At the end of the term, students presented their projects before a jury composed of our Hami’s İbrahim Hakkı Yazıcı, Gökhan Övenç and Ahmet Albayrak. These final presentations showcased the students’ growth, creativity, and dedication. We congratulate all our students for successfully completing this intensive learning journey and thank them for their hard work and determination.
